New to the blogging world!

Praised be Jesus Christ! As some of you may have noticed, our website has been down for a couple of days. It was our hope to re-vamp it and get it back up and running within the same day. Talk about un-realistic. Un-realistic or ignorance. Whichever sounds best. :) I must say that the web world is a mystery - it's an entirely different language that one has to learn to be able to do what you want to do. Nevertheless...do keep checking in as we hope within the month to have our completed re-vamped sight up. However, check out our vocations website (beautyofcarmel.org) as there is more visible progress there.

Our purpose for blogging is two-fold. To give you a glimpse into some of our daily and not so daily happenings. Very often we post slide shows to share with you the different events that occur either in our Carmels or in our apostolates. We thought it might be a nice idea on occasion to share our written thoughts as well. Secondly, we get quite a few questions about our way of life, Carmelite spirituality, our charism, our community. We thought it might be easier to make this spot available for you to ask questions or to post comments - and on our part, it would be our joy to be of assistance.

The beauty of religious life cannot adequately be expressed in writing, the joys of a Carmelite vocation is itself indescribable as well...but we will do the best we can. You do have to know that you are going to be getting a very biased opinion - seeing as how we are Carmelites who love our vocation, love the Church. :)
